Easy-to-use passes for simple, everyday restroom + water breaks.
Basic Hall Passes
Create basic bathroom, water fountain, nurse, and counselor passes. Plus, include a reason for the pass!
Schedule Passes
Schedule a time to meet with a student. Great for counselor appointments, band practice, early dismissals, and more. Plus, both students and the teachers whose classes they are missing get email notifications. Students can request time from teachers, too.
Encounter Prevention
Prevent 2+ students from being in the hallways at the same time. They are automatically blocked and notifications are sent to teachers with explanation.
Pass Limits
Limit the number of passes students can have per day, week or term. For example, 3 passes per/day, or 10 passes/week.
Set a limit for all students, and customize the limit for individual students based on pass usage. Plus, you can designate which rooms this limit applies to. For example, only restrooms and water fountains.
Of course, teachers can override pass limits if it's an emergency.

Passes Need Approval
Restrict rooms so students require teacher approval to go to a certain place. Teachers can approve passes with a private PIN, or from their own device.
For example, students may need a teacher's permission to go to the bathroom, but have the option for a Water Fountain break at any time. Teachers and students both love the flexibility.
Kiosk Mode
Have old Chromebooks lying around? Set up a SmartPass kiosk at the main office or in teacher's classrooms — it makes students creating passes & checking in a breeze. Plus, use ID Cards and the device camera (coming soon) or a 3rd party scanner to check-in/out.
Wait in Line
Set a max capacity for rooms (for example, only 3 students in a restroom). Students are placed in a virtual line if they have to wait, and they'll get a notification when it's their turn to leave. The queue avoids students "spam-clicking" to secure a spot and getting distracted in class.
